For those of you who maybe aren't quite as familiar with my flower obsessions, Daffodils are one of my favorite blooms! Every year hundreds of Daffodil blooms pop up all over our property. I am a member of the Indiana Daffodil Association as well as the American Daffodil Association and participating in the Daffodil growing contests (yes that's a thing!) is always so much fun!
Daffodils are also great for beginner gardens because they are perennials and they fare very well even in Indiana's (relatively) cold winter. They are also great if you don't have much space because they don't require a garden bed or support netting, stakes, etc. This makes them quite easy to tuck into little nooks and crannies around the yard.
I won't get too into detail in the specifics of growing Daffodils in this post as I'm sure I'll share more once they start blooming but if you are interested the American Daffodil Association and their website is an invaluable resource! You can find them here: https://daffodilusa.org/
Thanks so much for reading and stay tuned for more Daffodil posts!!
